The beginnings of Tesla

The success of his first electric car was followed by the Tesla Model S and the Model X, which sought to increase manufacturing volume and reduce the market price, with the idea of making vehicles environmentally friendly accessible for all pockets, idea is now reaffirmed with the upcoming release of the Tesla Model 3 with an estimated cost of about € 30,000.
This is completed with a network of free superchargers that will pass this year from 5,000 to more than 10,000 units spread around the world, without going over Spain, which currently has 10 charging points, it is expected to be 24 by the end of this 2017. Powerwall and Powerpack
But, alas! Tesla is not just Motors , the American giant presented its two energy storage systems in the spring of 2015: Powerwall and Powerpack. The first one is designed for the consumer with a capacity of up to 10 kWh and with the possibility of connecting up to 9 units, while the Powerpack is designed for renewable energy generation plants.
At the end of last year saw the light of the second version of both solutions with greater capabilities and new implementations. Tesla’s intention seems to be to make their two batteries work together, which they have called aggregation, and which has the main objective of benefiting both the power plants that have a Powerpack and the consumers who own the Powerwall.
Not content with this, in the autumn of 2016 Tesla began a merger process with the company SolarCity, dedicated to the installation of solar panels. With this new relationship was intended to shape the new flagship product of the American company: Solar Roof . A solar roof that will be available this summer in the United States and during 2018 for the rest of the world. The expectations with Solar Roof are very high, and the data that are known encouraging, with lifetime guarantees for tiles and 30 years for generation and weathering, surprisingly the cost of installing this roof would be below that of a traditional roof .
To carry out its ambitious project, the American company has a gigafactory in the state of Nevada, which is intended to work at full capacity in 2020. But the thing does not end there, recently Elon Musk has announced the construction of at least 10 gigafactories that could be 20 at best. As expected, speculation has been unleashed and everything seems to indicate that Europe will be the next destination of the Silicon Valley company, where Vaasa (Finland) surpasses its multiple competitors because it is Tesla’s new headquarters in Europe, even though it is not There is nothing decided and other countries such as the Czech Republic, France, Spain … could opt for a second European gigafactoría.
As for the expansion plans in the Asian continent, China is the number one objective of the manufacturer and it is probably where the third factory is installed after the American and the European.
