Hokutaku and MOL set up investment limited partnership for offshore wind power business

TOKYO-Hokutaku Co., Ltd. (President: Yukari Yoshida; Headquarters: Asahikawa-shi, Hokkaido) and Mitsui OSK Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President and CEO: Takeshi Hashimoto; Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) today announced that the companies have established the Hokutaku MOL Wind Energy Investment Limited Partnership (Hokutaku/MOL Wind Energy Fund) with the aim of investing in the offshore wind energy sector, which is expected to grow in the future.

The Hokutaku/MOL Wind Fund aims around 10 billion yenlarge-scale investments in offshore wind energy projects.

By combining Hokutaku’s network and operational expertise in the wind power industry with MOL Group’s know-how in various social infrastructure activities, including the shipping industry, the two companies engage and contribute to adding new value and developing supply chains in the offshore wind power generation industry. , which is expected to become the main driver of decarbonization in Japan.
