Microsoft dramatically increases Power Apps demand limits to help businesses

Microsoft has announced a significant adjustment to the daily request volume limitations for Power Platform. The higher limits have been put in place to meet the needs of the “vast majority of customer scenarios”, according to Microsoft. Additionally, Microsoft will allow customers with large-scale scenarios to only pay for Power Platform requests above the newly increased limits. The change increases the limits for Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, and Dynamics 365 users.

Power Apps allow businesses to build and share low-code apps. Demand limits are in place to ensure that applications can handle the load assigned to them. The increased limit should allow a large number of Power Apps to handle higher workloads. Microsoft details how Power Platform queries work in a supporting document.

The change was announced on November 14, 2021 and is already reflected in Microsoft’s support documentation.
